WRESTLING

RUMBERG AND KIRILINKO DRAW. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, June 29. A wrestling bout between Hal Rum berg and M-atros Kirilinko staged at Marton to-night resulted in a draw after a brisk contest in which both wrestlers were well matched. The bout went the full eight rounds. Kirilinko secured a fall in tlie sixth round and Rumberg equalised in tlie final round. STEIN BEATS SPELLMAN. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Juno 29. In an interesting wrestling bout at Ashburton to-night Stein defeated Spellman. In the fifth round Stein injured bis back when he was dumped and was unable to rise, Spellman being awarded a fall. In the eighth round Stein made use of tlie ropek which gave way and Stein brought off a flip-end flyiiig tackle to spin Spellman and get the decision on points. The bout ended with the ropes trailing about the ring.
