AIR AND AIRS B. AIcGRATH

Some eighty friends and members of the Feilding Boxing Club tendered a farewell social to Air and Airs B. AlcGrath on Saturday night, the time being spent in dancing, community singing and games. Air AlcGrath, who is leaving shortly to take up his residence in Napier, lias lived in Feilding for a number of years, during which ho has earned the goodwill and esteem of all with whom he has come in contact. Through Air AlcGrath the Feilding Boxing Club was formed, and since its inception he has been the organising-secretary. Air S. A. Jarrett, president of the club, eulogised the services rendered by Air AlcGrath, and stated that it would be very difficult to fill the vacancy. He asked the guests to accept as a token of the regard in which they were held a handsome chiming clock, -which had been suitably inscribed. Alusical honours were accorded Air and Airs AlcGrath, after which the former suitably replied, expressing his appreciation of the kindly sentiments voiced. Afusic for the dancing was supplied by Aliss Vera Jarrett, Alcssrs E. Bramwell and G. Dick. The ladies’ committee of the Boxing Club were responsible for the supper, and consisted of Atesdames S. A. Jarrett, L. AValker, A. AlcGrcgor and AI. Lourie.
