FIRST LOCAL PROSECUTIONS
WARRANTS OF FITNESS. Stated to be tlie first prosecutions brought at Palmerston North against motor drivers for failure to possess warrants of fitness for their vehicles, our cases were dealt with by Air J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Alagistrate’* Court yesterday. a. it. Aive, a farmer, of Tokomani, was fined £l, with Pis costs; J. N. Jordan £l. with 10s costs; H. L. Ret ter £l, with 10s costs; and It. Brabet ss, with 10s costs.
