CHARGE AGAINST WOMAN.

BAIL AGAIN REFUSED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Juno 28. “There are no unusual circumstances in the case to warrant me granting bail. Bail is refused,” said Mr Justice Reed in the Supreme Court when an application for the release on bail of Mrs Dorothy Baker, was made by Mr M. Robinson, with whom was associated Mr A. V. Fraer, counsel for Mrs Baker.

Accused appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Thursday last on two charges, one of aiding in the performing of an illegal operation and the other of counselling a similar offence. She pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial at the next criminal sessions of the Supreme Court, bail being refused.
