MIDSHIPMAN OF ZEEBRUGGE. WAR STORY^RECALLEP. LONDON, April 9. Engineer-Rear-Admiral Stephans, presentingl pfizes at Folkestone School, thrilled the boys with a story of Vice-Admiral Sir Roger Keyes. H$ wished to honour a dyjng mjdstyipman for particularly gallant behaviour (luring the Zeebrugga raid in 1918. Owing to the Admiralty’s delay, Vice-Admiral Keyes, who had charge of the Zeebruggo operations, wens to London and obtained the decoration.
He found the midshipman unconscious, and laid the medal tenderly on his pillow. The midshipman rallied, grasped the medal, and smiled, and a little later lie died.
