BANKRUPT’S DISCHARGE.
ADJOURNMENT GRANTED. Far Praia A»»ooistio». WELLINGTON, May 4. The bankruptcy of George Vance Shannon was again before the Supreme Court to-duy, when an application was made to Sir Robert Stout for bankrupt’s discharge. It will be remembered that the only proved creditor was Matteo Sarciche, who secured a verdict Horn Shannon of £I6OO damages in divorce proceedings. Mr Macassey, for Sarcic.he, opposed the discharge unless some reasonable offer of settlement was made. There was a prospect of Shannon coming into money which Sarciche would have no opportunity of getting. The Chief Justice allowed an adjournment, although he did not know whether an extension would be qf any assistance to the creditors.
