SOUTH CANTERBURY MEETING. Per Press Association. TIMARU, May 2. The South Canterbury Jockey Club’s autumn meeting is being continued to-day. In the early morning considerable rain fell and the outlook was not promising, but shortly |>efore the first race the weather cleared and the sun shone out. The track is much easier than yesterday. There is a good attendance. Results: Üblet-idge Hurdles, 1£ miles. —Petunia, 9.11, 1; Calibration, 9.0, 2 ; Red Kriss, 10.8, 3. Scratched: Grim Joke. Won by a length. Time, 2.51 3-5. May Stakes, five furlongs.—Voute, 8.13, 1; Waikaia, 8.13, 2; Soltce, 8.13, 3. All started. Won by a length.
