MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT.
MACHINE STRIKES KERBING. While motor cycling, yesterday c-iter-noon, i* young man, Charles Jensen, a resident of this town crashed into kerbing and sustained ft compound fracture of the leg and abrasions to the face, necessitating his admission to the hospital. Jensen was proceeding along Broad street in the direction of Terrace street and had a male passenger on the rear of the machine. On reaching the end ot street he endeavoured to turn in the direction of Main-street, but apparently something happened to the steering and the machine crashed into the kerbing in front of St. Peter’s Church. A medical practitioner was quickly on the scene, and both men were taken to the hospital wherp Jensen’s companion was able to leave after attention. Jensen .is reported to be progressing favourably. . .. ..
