ACTION BY MANAGEMENT. SYDNEY, Aprjl 30. Twenty-four hours’ notice was given all emplpyees at Walsh Island by the management that this morning the compressed air and hydraulic crancpower would bo available and that employees would be expected , to use this power, no work requiring power to be allowed to be operated by hand, and that the men would either have to use the power provided or go home. A subsequent meeting pf engineers decided to refuse to work any machines* greased or driven by men who are not members of the Federated En-gine-drivers’ and Firemen’s Association. The moulders decided not to work it other than engine-drivers were placed in positions previously occupied by en-gine-drivers.—Press Association.
