STEEL HOUSES.
MEETING AN URGENT NEED. LONDON, 26th April. The Court of Inquiry into the question of steel houses reported that the fear that the adoption of such scheme would unduly compete with the recognised building industry was groundless, since the enormous need of houses could not be made up for many years whatever scheme was adopted. The report generally concludes that the scheme of steel houses marks a serious attempt conceived on scientific fines to organise productive power to meet an urgent need.—Reuter.
