FIRE ON A STEAMER.
EXTINGUISHED WITH DIFFICULTY. CAPETOWN, April 22. The blue funnel liner Aeneas, bound from Australia to London, arrived at Durban with a' fire raging in the afler-hold. After two days’ light, when much of the cargo was removed and the hold flooded to a depth tof 18 feet, the outbreak was extinguished. The damage will amount to between £IO,OOO and £20,000. —A. and N.Z. cable.
