FEILDING BOROUGH.
APPOINTMENT’ OF ENGINEER. {From Our Own Correspondent.) At a special meeting of the Feilding Borough Council yesterday, Mr Thomas i in K Hay, at present assistant engineer ol the illumes Borough Council, was appointed resident engineer for the Feilding Borough. Mr Hay, who is a married man, 30 years of ap, spent three years on active service He has had experience at- Gisborne anti Thanies, wfiich will enable him ,o out his work m the construction of waterworks, sewerage, bitumenised roads, septic tanks and general engineering work The council interviewed Mr Hay yesterday and also anotner applicant. Mr Hay was ’ congratulated uy the Mayor,, and he thanked the council for tho appointment In replying to a question, Mr'{lav said ho naff a contract for three months with the Thames Council, but he could com menoe his duties in Feilding if desired at the end of next mopth.
