AN ARAB EMPIRE.
GREAT BRITAIN’S AIM. Received April 23 ,10.45 a.m. JERUSALEM, April 22. An Arab delegation petitioned Mr L. C. Amery (Secretary of State for the Colonies) for relief by the Government, protesting that they are over-taxed. They urged that Britain abandon the futile Zionist experiment and said that intensive Jewish immigration, including desirables, had ruined Palestine economically and detracted from the British prestige. Mr Amery replied that Britain was striving to form an independent Arab Empire.—Sydney Sun cable.
