IMPRISONMENT FOR LIFE. Received April 23, 10 a.m. ADELAIDE, April 23. T)io death sentence passed on Thomas William Ashby, a news vendor, aged 65, has been commuted to imprisonment for life.—Press Association.
Ashby murdered an elderly man named Robert James Trenorden at W. Burton’s carrying yards, Beverley, South Australia.
