(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 1. The general working account of the Canterbury Jockey Club showed a surplus of £3948 2s 5d for the season. The chairman, Mr G. G. Excellent train arrangements have been made by the club, excursion tickets being issued on each day of the meeting from Palmerston, The course is reoorted to be in good oondition, and given fine weather, a big contingent is sure to journey from Palmerston and Wellington to the seaside meeting.
