At our fortnightly sale on. Friday we offered a fair sized catalogue of wool, sheepskins, hides and tallow. Buyers were in good force and bidding brisk at level ot last sales rates with exception of hides, which improved to the extent of ;}d per lb owing to improved tone of Australian markets. .We quote:— Wool: Stragglers' coarse crossbred 9d to 95-d, crutchings clean and free from seed 8d to 8-2~d, seedy to 7|d, piece! and bellies s|d to 7d. Sheepskins— Sound half-woolled crossbred to lQd, shortwoolled SJd to 9£d, halfbred merino 9id to lOd. broken and dead 7d to Bfd. Lambs B|d to lOd per lb. Hides— Sound *bx and cow s|d to 6d, cut slippy and scored 3|d to 4|d per lb, calf from 4|d to sfd per lb. Tallow —Good mixed in casks 22s to 22s 6d per cwt; in tins for good 18s and 14s to 15s 6d for inferior.
