Hide and Skin Report. We report having held our usual fortnightly wool, skin, and hide sale at Wellington on Friday afternoon, when there was a larger attendance of buyers than usual.. Bidding was fairly animated, and prices for wool were on a par with last sale. Sheepskins showed an advance of £d on really good lines, but inferior skins were ruling at the same rates. Hides advanced Jd to |d on last sale rates for good quality and well conditioned. We quote:—Wool: Crossbred, fleece, to inferior crossbred 9d to 9£d, lambs, inferior, B|d, crutchings to pieces scoured locks to 10id. Sheepskins: Crossbred 9f d to lOd, half wool 9d to 9Ad, lambs, full woolled, 8d to 9£d, damaged and infeiior 7|d to Bd, butchers' green, medium weights, 6s 9dto7s 2d each, salted ss9dto 7s sd. Horse-hair Is 7d per pound. Tallow, in casks, 22s 6d per cwt, in tins 17s 6d per cwt. Hides : Heavy ox 6d per lb, medium sfd, slippy ox 4fd to 4£d, cows, heavy, s|d, medium s&d, slippy cows 3fd to 4|d, prime calf 6£d per lb, inferior 6d to 63d, yearlings s£d.
