The Foxton Sub-Union.
! (Special to Standard.) FOXTON. May 25. At the largest and most representative football meeting ever held in Foxton last night, Mr Austin in the chair, full discussion took place on the matter of the difference between the Manawatu and Foxton Unions. The Manawatu Union objected to the Foxton sub-union giving a trophy to the hon. secretary out of the credit balance of £13. After a lengthy discussion Mr O'Dea (Sandon) t)roposed, and Mr Cameron (Sandon) seconded the following motion :— " That if the donating of a trophy to the sub-union secretary is professionalism, the Foxton sub-union wishes to ask the Manawatu Union what is the grant of £100 by the New Zealand Union to Mv Dixon, or the annual grants made to other honorary secretaries; further that the paying over of ihe credit balance to the Manawatu Union be left over pending the reply of the Manawatu Union to the question of professionalism." This motion was carried unanimously.
