Mr Seddon in Australia

(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Per Press Association.) (Received May 25, at 10.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE. This Day. Mr Deakin saw Mr Seudon prior to the latter's departure for Adelaide and arranged for a formal conference on matters of mutual interest to Australia and New Zealand on Mr Seddon's return to Melbourne. He is expected back on Thursday. Mr Seddon informed an interviewer that he had been misled by a statement Sir W. Lyne made to Sir j. Ward when the latter was in Melbourne to the effect that as New Zealand and Australia were in competition in the production of certain articles, there was no chance of the establishment of reciprocity. He had ascertained that Sir W. Lyne neither represented the views of his colleagues nor the commercial classes of Australia. On the contrary he found Mr Deakin anxious to come to terms.
