Found Dead in a Whare.

Notification was received by the police lata yesterday afternoon that an pensioner named William Jeffersey, 72 years of age, had been found dead in a whare at Eangitane. A constable was at once seni- out to the spot. He brought the body to Palmerston last evening and placed it in the morgue, where it now lies. Indications pointed to the man having been dead for two or three days.
