(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 23. On Saturday last tho Potono football team refused to take part in a Hcnior match againnt a Wellington team on account of its objection to the referee who had bt cn appointed by the Referees' Association. At a meeting of the Rugby Union to-night it was decided to call tho delegates together to pass a resolution compelling teams to play under the referee chosen by the Association. The Poneke* Wellington match will bo played later in the season.
