{From Our Own Correspondent). Tho Presbyterians celebrated the anniversary of their church on Sunday last. The church was tastefully decorated for tho occasion and the Rov, Mr Budd, of Feiiding, eonducted the services. Tho congregations boch morning and evening were very large. On Tuesday the annual tea and concert wore held. At the concert and social the hall was packed. Tho following was the programme :—Gramaphone selection ; song, Mitts Donald (encored;; quartette, party ; song, Dr Gregory ; song, Mrs Miller (encored) ; song, Mr Bell (encored) ; quartette, party; speech, Rev. Mr McKenzio ; eong, Dr Gregory ; quartette, party ; speech, Rev. Mr Budd. At the conclusion of the concert the hall was cleared and those remaining enjoyed themselves with various games. The Horticultural and Industrial Society's third annual show takes place on tho 24th. Tho members of the committee are leaving no fttone unturned to make it a huge success. Given fine weather there is every reason to believe that it will celipse tho two previous onca. A new house ia in the course of erection for Mr Belk, who is going to tako up his residence hero. A meeting ia convened for Tuesday next to acc what stops can bo taken to establish a motor aervico between Apiti and Feilding. TheN.Z, Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. held a very successful sale on Tuesday last. There was a good yarding of both cattle and sheep. Tho sale showed a decided riso in tho prices of cattle and sheep. Two to 3vr steers £'4 Is, mixed cattle, 15 to lfStno £2 10s, 12mo steera 80s to 355, woanera 15s. Sheep—f.m. ewes 15b 4d, 2th to f.m. ewes 15a lOd, second class lambs Us to 10s lOd.
