Mr A. Fraser, census enumerator, informs us that the population of the Horowhenua County is as follows: — Tokomaru Riding, 1577; Wirokino Riding, 1542; Otaki Riding, 1524; Te Horo, 698.; total for Countv, 5341. Levin Borough, 1265 ; Foxton Borough. 1331. At the 1901 census the figures were: Horowhenua County, 4654; Foxton Borough, 1211. (Per Press Association.) OHRISTCHUKCH, This Day. The census returns for Greater Ckristcliurcli show the total far the four wards of 49,808. Last census the population was 42,286, and in 1896 39,172. The increases are most noticeable in the city and Sydenham, but are substantial all over Greater Christchurch.
