Kimbolton School.
(From our own correspondent.) A very pleasant function was held in this school yesterday. The local branch of the Farmers' Union kindly donated two guineas, which the school committee supplemented with one guinea, to provide prizes for the three best kept plots in the school gardens. Messrs Jacobs and Levelt kindly consented to judge in the spring and autumn respectively. Mr Jackson, chairman of school committee, Mrs Jackson, and Miss Molly Jackson attended at the school to present the prizes to the sue. eessful competitors. Mr Jacksou, in a fewjwell-chosen remarks, complimented the winners, and encouraged the others to try again next' year, also that the committee would endeavor to arrange take some of the scholars to the Winter Show m Palmerston. Mrs Jackson then handed the prizes to the winners. First prizes, gold brooches—Olga Haggarty, Clara Tucker. Seconcl prizes, gold brooches-—Myrtle Carter. Evelyn Baddelev. Third prizes (ties), silver brooches— Grace Scott and Maggie Robertson, Eva Bradley and May Poole. The singing of '• Auld Lang Syne" and cheers for Mr and Mrs Jackson, the Farmers' Union aud School Committee, the headmaster (Mr Astbnry), and Miss Watts brought the pleasant proceedings to a close.
