Shot by Her Brother. (per Proas Association.) WESTPORT, This Day. Ia regard to the death of Lily Herring, her brothers varied their story when on oath at the inquest. Edwin Herring (15) said he loaded the gun m the kitchen, with the intention of shooting a blue erane that he had several times seen outside lately. He picked up the gun, placed it at half cock, and threw it over his shoulder. lie was walking down the passage when it accidentally went oft: and shot his sister, who was behind him. He and kis brother, when they saw she was dead, were frightened and ran away. A verdict of accidentally killed was returned.
