Cathedral Choristers.
An opportunity of hearing an excellent programme of musical and varied items is to be given next Monday, when'the:. above combination will make their appearance at the Lyceum Theatre, assisted by a select company of artists, including Miss Alice Layton (soprano), Mr Carden Wilson (Australia's greatest mimic), Kellman, the Magician, Mr Geo. Warsaw (operatic basso), and Mr Leslie Warton (the famous coon melodist). The programme for the entertainment is distinctly unique in character—unlike anything before presented to us. The charming admixture of old songs, glees and catches, with examples of the more melodious of the modern school of solos, ballads rendered by artists of high training and intelligence, undoubtedly forms a popular programme' strictly in the sense of being what the people really like. The four ladscomprising the Cathedral Choristers, are an important andpleasing feature in • the company^ and have aroused then-. many audiences to the highest pitch of enthusiasm. It is refreshing to have an opportunity of reverting to the old .English glees and melodies, which are rendered by these lads with remarkable sweetness and harmony. -The box plan is now open at Park's.
