(From Our Own Correspondent) s -The committee pf the Longburn.Gun Club met on Monday night. PresentMessrs II F. McLean (in the chair), H. Rowlands, F. Prentice H. Richmond. .«• £ ce< L- Baigent, J Flannagan. Best, 1. laplm, and J. Dalrymple. ;: ■ A considerable amount of business wad satisfactorily dealt with.;- Also a sheaf of correspondence from gun and ammunition vendors, etc. Rules were adopted and'the secretary was instructed to have them printed. ' A lengthy discussion took place re e^_rs_F c advisabh''ty of affiliating with the New Zealand Gun Club Association. Eventually it was decided en the voices-to affiliate.
The club was also formed into two classes, A and B. The- B class shoot tor a gold medal on October 15, at 3 p.m., the medal to be won straight out -Nominations close with the secretary on October 12th, and handicaps will be declared on October 13th.
A match for a gold medal presented oy Mr J. Mortensen was fired la<=t week being won by Mr. Harold Best. Mr H. p. McLean (Kairanga) was second. Twenty-five competed.
