Eeceived September 28, at 9.41 a.m.) SYDNEY, This day. ■ In his opening address at the Anglican Synod, the Primate, incommentingupon the Birth-rate Commission's report, said the appalling exposure was culpably selfish and disclosed a superficial view of the object of marriage. Canon Boyee moved the omission of the damnatory clause in the Athanasian creed. An amendment was adopted affirming the acceptance of the credendaj but declaring the rubric requiring its public recitation should be omitted.

SYDNEY, This day. _ As an outcome of the recent Arbitration Court decision the Northern Colliery, proprietors have' decided to reduce the selling price~of coal to 9s from January next. A proportionate reduction in the hewing rate will.be made.
