Hockey.
A hockey match will be held on the Showgrounds to-morrow afternoon.for the Dawick Shield, between the Horowhenua and Old Boys B teams. This is practically the deciding match for the shield ; if the Old Boys win. the shield will be held by then: A team for the season, in the event of a draw a deciding match will have to be played between Horowhenua and Old Boys A team; should Horowhenua win, the shield will be held by them for the season. A football match between teams from the Cuba-street and Broad-street Methodist churches will also take place at 3 p.m.: The following will represent Old Boys B against Horowhenua 'to-morrow:— McGregor, Tew, Jones, Gabites, Collinson, Stewart, Pederson, Hadfield, Waidegrave, Watchornj Simpson. Emergency, Duncan.
