The Eketahuna branch of" the iSlew Zealand Farmers' Union decided., on Saturday, to urge the Government to make an endowment of 400 acres of totara reserve in this district for the benefit of the county. In support of the request it is pointed out that the timber traffic from the reserve, which contains 800 acres, has necessitated extraordinary expenditure in maintaining the roads, whilst the reserve has been enhanced in value through the settlers rating themselves fordoans.to make the'roads. , ...
