At Himatangi on Monday there was a heavy yarding of oattle of good quality in fair condition. There was a good attendance of the public, and although the bulk of the yarding ,waß quitted, there was a considerable decline in values, more particularly noticeable in yonng cattle arid backward dairy ' sort?. The shorthorn yearling steers on behalf of Mr H. Barber realised j£3 7s 6i.

At Kimbolton there was a email yarding of cattle, which met with a very poor reception, and very little was sold. At Palmerston North the yarding was somewhat smaller than usual, and with the exception of one or two pena were a very inferior quality. Young cattle were again much easier, and also backward dairy heifers. There was, however, a slightly better demand for good quality dairy heifers close to profit. Quotations:—
