The English and Continental wheat markets are firm, haying-recovered the previous decline. American is steady. French crops are not expected to be sufficient for the nation's consumption, and France is buying cargoes largely. The English demand is quiet; 11,000 quarter, of Australian; SepternberfOctobery shipment;; realised 34s 3d;:9000? quarters of September shipment, 34s ?4id. ?r. ."?': *•.?■■" Flour, in.JLohdori, 25s 6d to 265; in Glasgow trade, is quiet;'? Sydney's, 27s 6d, to 28s; Melbourne and Adelaide, 27s to27s6d.
Australian oats near at hand, 14s 6d; September-October shipment, 14s; quiet trade.
Butter.—Danish, unchanged. Holders are asking 110s to 112s; Victorian, choicest, 104s to 106s.

New Zealand butter.—There are few sales at 9£d f .o.b.
