LONDON, September 22.

In the course of a speech at Welbeck Abbe 3-, on August 4th; Mr Chamberlain stated he had received from the 'president of the Chamber of Commerce and Manufactures in "Western ■ Australia a telegram wishing him " God Speed " in his fiscal mission. Mr Pye, secretary of the Freernantle Chamber of Commerce, wrote to Mr Chamberlain on the matter and in reference to the letter Mr Chamberlain states the telegram from the Chamber of Commerce : and Manufacturers of Western Australia was received at Welbeek on the day of his speech. He does not remember which chamber as the telegram was left behind at Welbeck or destroyed and he is unable to find it.
