Goldmining at Waihi.

WELLINGTON, September 21. An important development has taken place in the Waihi Grand Junction Mine by the intersection of a reef which is identical-with the reef in the Waihi Extended Mine at No. 3 level, 140 feet below the 501 feet level. Basing the calculation of the borehole previously put down, the reef should be of considerable size and give a high value to the Waihi.Extended. The intersection of the reef in the Grand Junction Mine at 140 feet below the level in which the Extended are operating on it will have an important bearing on future prospects. It will also enlighten shareholders as to the magnitude and value of the reef at a greater depth. It has a'reody been »roved that the reef is a combiuation of the great Martha lode, which leads mining men there to the belief that the whole reef system of the "Waihi minte extends into the Extended. mine Every confidence is felt in the future of tke mine,
