The Abandonment of Mukden
Will Involve a Dangerous Loss of Prestige.

Nine Japanese divisions are advancing to the Hun river, which forms Russia's direct front.
The Millet crops have been harvested, facilitating fighting. The weather is favourable and the roads are drying. General Kuropatkin prefers to fight at Tiehling, only he is afraid the abandonment of Mukden will involve a dangerous loss of prestige in Chinese eyes. ° ?., Kuropatkin reports that the" cavalry,, on.
