Modern Miracle.

Strange Story About a Man Struck by Lightning.

From Morristown, New Jersey, comes a well-authenticated story which has set all America'marvelling. Abbott Parker, a young man, was struck by lightning,' and was taken to All Souls' Hospital. Having been stripned to the waist, a wound was found on his back, and while the nurses and doctors watched, a perfect representation of a crucifix appeared exactly in the centre of the shoulder-blades.

Then the figure of Christ nailed to the Cross, slowly developed, until the exact reproduction of the Crucifixion stood out in bold relief.

Yesterday (says the Telegraph New York correspondent) the picture developed while the m*n was unconscious. Abbott declares that he has never been tattooed. The nuns at the hospital insist that a miracle has taken place. On the wall opposite the bed is a crucifix, which possibly explains the mystery. Scientists say-that Parker's skin, after being struck by lightning, became like a sensitised photographic plate.
