Mr E. E. Beckett reports :—I held a very successful sale at Hunterville on Thursday. Both cattle and sheep wore well represented, especially the former which were well competed lor. and sold at good prices. Sheep were dull, but good lines of wethors niot a good market. I yarded over 500 head of cattle and 4500 sheep. I quote: Fat cows £4 los to £6 ss, cows and calves £4 7a Od, store cows £'i 10s, dairy heifers in calf M 16s, 2* year steers £4 los, 2 year steers £3 3s Gd to £4 ss, weanors and yearlings 2Gs to i' 2 2s Gd, fat ewes 8s to 9s 3d, 2 tooth owes in lamb 8s Gd, empty ewes 3s 2d to 8s 7d, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 9s Gd to 10s 3d, lambs 2s Bd to 2s lOd.
