Tho Palmerston Municipal Band journeyed to Sjandon on Sunday, wboro they arrived just i n tj rae to participate m tho thanksgiving service conducted by the Rev T. W. Vealio, of the Methodist Church. O-ving to tho largenefs of the congregation the service was iel(i in the retention ground, where the band accompanied the hymns and p.ayed n number of sacred selections to tho evident ei.joyrneat of the largo gathering of people. In tho evening the band, assisted by the Cornwall Bros, and othor Palmerston North singers gave a programmo of sacred music in the town hall, which was crowded to tho doors with a highly appreciate nudionco.
