L A few days after Ladysaaith was reley ed Mr Wiiaston Churchill cabled Home an interview he had had with Sir George White in which the following ssntence appeared:—" The General then spoke bitterly of the treatment and criticism to which he had been subjected at Home, and of the attempts which the War Office had made to supercede him— attempts which Sir Bedvers Buller had prevented." On Monday a Central News representative called on Sir George White to ascertain if the gallant general had been correctly reported in the passage. Whether Igo back to South Africa or not is a matter between the War Office and myself- I . see no command for me at present "
