JOHANNESBURG.

LORD ROBERTS' ENTRY,

London, June 4. An advocate named Kruse, formerly State Attorney, who was responsible for maintaining good order in tlie town, met Lord Roberts on his entry to Johannesburg, accompanied bj the Government officers who had remained in the city. The British flag was hoisted in Union square, in the presence of large crowds. A Royal salute was fired, and cheers given for the Queen.

The 11th and 7th Divisions, under Lieutenant-General Pole-Carew and Lieutenant-General Tucker respectively, the Naral Brigade, heavy artillery and two brigades ©f field artillery participated in the entry. The cavalry and mounted infantry were, hewever, too far away to take part.
