PRETORIA.
THE BOER PLAN OF CAMPAIGN. '
London, June 4. It is reported that the wildest confusion and panic exist at Pretoria. There has been a general collapse of Governmental functions since the stampede of the officials. The foreign attaches have started for home. ° General Louis Botha, the Commander-in-Chief, reached Pretoria on Wednesday night, and reported having engaged in three days' fearful fighting, which had proved disadvantageous to his troops. The last engagement had been at Orange Grove (where Lord Roberts had arrived on the previous Saturday), the object being to cover the despatch of supply trains and waggons for Leydenburg. J
A meeting of ten thousand burghers was held in the city, at which the fiery speeches of General Louis Botha and Creneral Lucas Meyer rekindled the spirit of resistance, and it was rasolved to fi^hc to the last. 5
The Boer Coramander-in-Chief has proclaimed martial law.
