WARD'S BANKRUPTCY.

i Per Press Association. Dunbdin, July 15. The examination of Mr Ward commenced this morning. Messrs Solomon and MoDonald, of Invercargil, represent the Official Liquidator, and Fred. Chapman and Theo. Cooper appear for Mr Ward. Mr Gallaway watohes the proceedings on behalf of Mr Birch. At the outset the Judge said it was usual to take such matters in private, unless the parties agreed otherwise. Mr Chapman said as the Liquidator's report unfairly attacked Mr Ward, the latter had from the moment of publication expressed to the Liquidator his desire to be publioly examined, and given an opportunity of answering that report. Mr Solomon said the Liquidators were quite agreeable to the examination being in public. Mr Ward .was then examined by Mr Solomon all morning, the questions having reference to the value of the Ooean Beaoh Freezing Works at the date of the sale.
