(Per Press Assooiation.) Hawkea, July 16. At the District Court, a youth named Ellermau, about 14 years of age, was eonvioted on his own admission of the theft of £2 2s, Judge Kettle said that although the boy had been convicted on three previous occasions for larceny, he did not like to send him to gaol, and released the prisoner ,on bis father entering into recognisance for his son's good behaviour. Bridget Madden, charged with perjury at an inquest into the fire at Otakeho, was acquitted.
