The Rise In the Price of Wool.
Says '« Puff " m the Wellington Pro* : — A prophet ! He wae right about th» wool ! It seems to me a sharp rally of price must inevitably occur ! Who said that? Sir Julius Yogel said so m his Financial Statement on the 25th of May 1 It wai an uncommonly good ■hot, for the price has gone tip 25 p*r cent ! A sharp rally and no mistake ! Dv you think he knew anything about it, or did he only make a guess ? Th« reasons he gave for his opinions art quite sufficient to support it now it has proved correct I When did he expect the rally to take place ? He said " The change may not be immediate, but it cannot long be delayed !" Good for him ! Guess or no guoss, he deservesthe credit of having made a cheering prediction which came true ! Don't you think this rnsh for wool looks as if ». big war were looming ? It may! Th» wire pullers abroad know a thing or two about the markets ; If there is going to be a big war there'll be a run on blankets and horsecloths and cloaks, and wool will go up by leaps and bounds !
