At the meetine: last night there were present — Messrs Buick, McNeil, Akers, Hanna, . Russell, Pratt, Prendergast, Sjy (2), Paul, Abraham/ Stewart, Collins, Snelson, Liggins, Pringle, and. Bryant. A provisional committee was appointed to draw* up rules, view the ground, and bring up report to the general meeting convened by Mr Snelson for the 24th inst. The meeting then stood adjourned until Thursday, Ist July, the convener, Mr Snelson, having made a mistake m calling the meeting for the 24th inst., believinar it to be Stevens and Gorton's sale day. It has therefore been decided to hold the meeting on the Ist prox, so as to allow a large attendance of settlers, the meeting to be held (by permission) m the Council Chamber.
