Temporary offices : Chairman's residence, Bunnythorpe. This Cotapany is being formed for the nurDose of supplying the mnch felt want of a public Hall. The number of meetings, both religious and otherwise, and entertainments held m the Bunnythorpe, schoolroom, although curtailed ' by ' the <sqhool committee, have given rise to unpleasant-feelings between parties, and much trouble and -annoyance. And it must be. an admitted fact, that the schoolroom; is nob a suitable place for many of the meetings and entertainments, of which there would be many more werer there a. suitable building for the purpose. Likewise Palmerston or Feildihg are 'both top far for settlers to take their" wives arid families to' an evening's entertainment.; To avoid the above difficulties it has been proposed at a public meeting held iri Bunnythorpe on May 22nd, -1886, -to form a company for the put pose of building a public hall suitable to the requirements of the place upon the following conditions :— (1). That as soon as 100 shares are taken up the Company will be registered and operations commenced. (2). That m the event of 100 shares not being taken up [ within six months the money paid on shares shall be returned. (3). That the hall shall be a public hall m the true sense of the term, that is, it shall be open to , all. who wish to engage it, and shall be made as remunerative to the shareholders; as possible. (4). The hall will be ayail-( able for divine service on Sundays, and open to any s engagement during the week* (5). The articles of association will be m ■ terms of the Joint Stock Companies Act, 1882, (6). Applications (as per accompanying form) with deposit of 2s 6d par shard may be lodgedrwith ; the ctaairrnan or any of the directors/ The allotment will be made m the order of application. The ;committe would earnestly beg to draw the attention of the settlers of Bunriythorpe to the fact that the building pf the hall wilHupply/a wani long felt, m as much, as the different re^ious denominations m Bunnythorpe are not strong enough to build places of worship ot their own, so trust that you wifl all come forward and take shares, so that i you will not after the hall is built and the schoolroom is restricted to educational: purposes, say the hall was built to make i.a profit out of your .religion. For the purpose of taking up the land and building the hall it is only proposed to call up 5s per share, and to borrow the j remainder of the|moncy required, » i
