Sir George Grey moved the adjournmeut of the debate, ?>n the ground that there was not a full house. Messrs Seddon and Fulton supported him. . Messrs Hursthbuse and Cowan favored the second reading. Mr Lake said important alterations were sometimes found m these consolidation measures. Mr Stout was willing the debate on committal should take place on Friday. The Bill was read a second time.
