(united peess association) Dunedin, •Friday.-' The inquest on the blasting accident was concluded fj-day, when the jury re turned a verdict that Mrs Finch came to hj»r death. by a stone project :d by a blast fired on the 19th, that the said blast was unskilfully planned and overcharged, and that proper and sate; apoliances were not provided by the corporation. The coroner said it. -was., a. verdict of manslaughter, but the jury said they coald not alter it, except it might be to add " consequently we must consider the corporation liable." The coroner said they could not find a verdict of felony against a corporation, but the jury again decided they could not alter their verdict.
