Forgery.
On Monday last « cheque for £11, signed J. S. Jolly, drawn un the Union Bank waa paid into the local Bank of New Zealand. When presented at the former Bank the signature was so lire and written m the colored ink (blue) always used by the drawer, that it was paid without its genuineness being sus. pected. The forger, however, regretted hi* action, and informed hit brother of what be had done, The Utter coreroqoioa(ed at once with Mr Jolly, who immediately called at the Bank and exposed the spurious chtque.
