Alleged Attempted Murder.
(UNITED Pit ESS ASSOCIATION.) Gisborne, Friday. A man named William Bowley was arrested to-day for attempting to murder a man named O'Neill. It aopears that both ; men. were working together, and that Bowlej informed the police that O'Neill had shot himself. Subse 1 quently suspicion fell on Rowloy, and he was arrested. O'Neill wa*s shot m the breast, the skull was split open, and he is m a precarious condition.
